Venetian influence, in terms of landscape, architecture and arts extends over the towns of the Venetian Golf at least. Chioggia is one such example. Its historic area has canals and narrow alleys leading to a Romanesque watchtower with a medieval clock. The Museum of Adriatic Zoology Giuseppe Olivi includes a display on local fishing traditions.

You can have boat trips around Chioggia or even a trip to Venice (including a night boat trip) or you can relax on Sottomarina beach (1 km east of Chioggia) with its Forte San Felice, a 14th-century fort.

Several campsites and motorhome sostas are available on Sottomarina, two of them accepting ACSI cards.
