Chioggia, Italy – the “Little Venice”

TzubyCAMPERS Italy Chioggia, Italy – the “Little Venice”

While transiting Italy from East to West we were passing through the Veneto region, a group of 118 small islands that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridges. We did not have time for a proper stay-over in Venice itself so we decided to explore two hidden gems along the Italian coast — Chioggia and Sottomarina.

When arrived in Chioggia, often called “Little Venice,” the first thing that amazed us was its unique charm. The canals, the colorful buildings, and the local vibe make it a must-visit. The atmosphere here is so relaxed, and the architecture has a distinct Venetian feel. Just look at these canal-side cafes and the old wooden fishing boats — it’s like stepping back in time.
