Lake Como is a popular tourist destination for its scenery, wildlife and facilities for sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing. Located at the foot of the Alps in the Lombardy region of northern Italy, Lake Como has the shape of the letter “Y” upside down, with three thin branches that meet in the resort of Bellagio.
The Lake Como ferry connects the many small towns around the lake. In the area around Lake Como there are several farms that produce products such as honey, olive oil, cheese, milk, eggs and salami.
Tourists will easily find lists of these farms and can usually visit them to shop. There are multiple campsites along the shores of the lake with different prices and facilities.
