We first considered Slovenia as a transit country, but we must admit that, even after our first day, we started to look at it from a different angle. Since we had to stop at Ljubljana we took some time to explore the city. No wonder the name “Ljubljana” means “beloved” in Slovenian. We discovered its beautiful architecture, including the Gothic-style Ljubljana Cathedral and the Art Nouveau Central Market. Ljubljana Castle, standing on a hill above the city for about 900 years, is Ljubljana’s main attraction. Winter or summer, Slovenia looks like an attractive destination for a family vanlife adventure.
